The Gentry Residence is a family home located in Nanaimo. Designed for clients Asher and Taylor Gentry, with their two kids and family pets after a house fire, this ocean front home is their perfect new home to live and entertain in.

With an incorporation of traditional architecture and contemporary furnishings, this space directly suits the needs of the user. The downstairs is open concept with a large living, kitchen and dining space to allow for entertaining and having guests over, with built in millwork to host their large board game collection. The upstairs is private from this, with two bedrooms for the kids separated by a jack-and-jill washroom and a large primary bedroom and ensuite.

The Gentry Residence was originally designed in the second semester of first year with floor plans, elevations and the concept created. In third year, this project was used as a tool in learning Revit. Using the original design, I built this project in Revit as a semester long project and created both a presentation and construction drawing package.
